Job Description

BuilderGuru Contracting is seeking an enthusiastic experienced Project Manager to join our team. This position requires commercial construction experience in an office environment, preferably with public or government projects.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Public Commercial Construction projects in Virginia, DC and Maryland, ensuring schedule adherence and budget control

• Review projects with Estimating to verify drawings, review scopes, key trades, budgets, schedules and Owner contracts

• Set up Project Schedule, submittals, lead times, write scopes and buy out trades and finalize budgets

• Set up and attend regular project meetings with subs and owners

• Responsible for monthly client billing and approving subcontractors’ invoices

• Review submittals, RFI’s, change orders, drawings, etc.

• Visit job sites and review project with Superintendents on a regular basis

• Conduct and oversee project closeout

• Responsible for all project planning and mobilization

• Responsible for subcontractors and negotiating contracts

• Weekly and monthly review reporting and monthly analysis

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, architects, and subcontractors

• Prepare and submit monthly draw requests consistent with contract documents

• Understand and administer prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontractor agreements, purchase order agreements, insurance, etc.

Experience:

• Commercial Construction Project Management: 5 years (Required)

• Commercial Construction Government Projects: 2 years (Required)
