Project Superintendent

Job Description

The Superintendent manages all functions of the jobsite as it relates to commercial construction while providing excellent customer service. This hands-on problem solver is responsible for overall onsite management of the project from inception to final acceptance, including all onsite planning, organization, and control of the work in the field. The Superintendent provides supervision and coordination of subcontractors while ensuring safe conditions on construction job sites.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the work of subcontractors.
  • Coordinate materials deliveries and site inspections.
  • Create job schedule, in particularly a 2 week look ahead.
  • Document all daily activities through Procore, including daily reports, safety reports, etc.
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings.
  • Complete required documentation of project progression.
  • Maintain high quality control and enforce safety.

Required:

  • 5+ years commercial construction experience, ideally in restaurants and interior renovations. Knowledgeable with the most common construction trades.
  • Ground up construction experience
  • Proficient with reading, understanding, and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, contracts, and other documents.
  • Always maintain professional appearance during working hours.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Willing to work additional hours or weekends if necessary to meet job schedule.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and operate manlifts or heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with construction management and office productivity software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Procore, Timberline, or other web-based or mobile document and project management solutions.
  • Able to interact and communicate professionally with all parties associated with the project. Effectively resolve or escalate issues with subcontractors and other third parties in a timely manner.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, & CPR Certification required upon hire.
